Some of our younger youth campers and kiddie campers enjoyed our Animal Kingdom inflatable, I wonder who can jump the highest?! During the Sports special Miss Mackenzie had the campers practice their soccer skills and boy are they good.

it's so exciting to see the CITs bonding with campers, as seen in one of these photos, they even made up a cool handshake.

Happy Super Hero day, one and all! Some of our campers and counselors dressed up as their favorite superheroes. We had capes, masks, and superhero shirts everywhere.

In STEM this week, our campers are making slime balls, they make a doughy mixture and put it inside two balloons. They can squeeze it and mold it. They are learning how solids and liquids can combine to make a new form.

Did we mention our new, exciting, ropes course with a zip line? Campers are practicing their balance and endurance skills on this exciting new addition to our campgrounds. They are flying through the sky like Superman.

While our young youth campers are flying, our kiddie campers are learning some new swim skills. They are becoming acclimated to the water and floating with their friends.

Our Great South Bay YMCA Summer Day Camp's 2nd week was filled with friends, fun activities and in-house specials! This week, our campers got to visit the Y Guy Trading post and had a chance to purchase some snacks, Y merch and more! We had a fun special for our kiddie and youth camp with the Game Show Guy! Our campers go to test their knowledge on different topics and compete with their camp friends with some fun trivia! The Game Show Guy brought an exciting and energetic atmosphere to our camp, with his charismatic personality and engaging trivia questions. Our campers eagerly gathered around as the Game Show Guy posed challenging questions on a wide range of topics, from history and science to pop culture and sports.

With buzzers in hand, our campers enthusiastically pressed the buttons, hoping to be the first to answer correctly and earn points for their team. The competition was fierce, with campers showcasing their knowledge and quick-thinking skills. Cheers and applause filled the air as correct answers were celebrated, and even incorrect answers were met with encouragement and laughter.

Our Pre-Teen and sports campers had an unforgettable experience at the Long Island Maritime Museum. This excursion was a perfect blend of education and fun as our campers got the opportunity to explore the rich maritime history of Long Island.

Upon arriving at the museum, our campers were greeted by knowledgeable guides who took them on a fascinating journey through time. They learned about the various aspects of maritime life and were enthralled by the stories of brave sailors and explorers who ventured into the unknown.

The campers had the chance to explore the museum's exhibits, which showcased a wide range of artifacts and interactive displays. From old maps and navigational tools to intricate ship models, our campers were able to get up close and personal with the history of seafaring.

As the day came to a close, our campers left the Long Island Maritime Museum with a newfound appreciation for our maritime heritage. They had learned valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and the importance of preserving our history.
