This Community Program Aims to Give Back to Communities That Need School Supplies for the School Year.
Glen Cove, NY & Great South Bay, NY (September 6, 2023) – The YMCA of Long Island announced today that it conducted a back-to-school drive to provide children in the underserved parts of Long Island with supplies for school. Through donations from members and Amazon, we were able to stuff and provide over 200 Back Packs for Children who need it most.
“We are thrilled to partner with Amazon to donate school supplies to our underserved communities. The research shows the effects of donated materials to individuals that needed it most are grateful. The donations provided encourage individuals to continue to pursue their dreams and inspire them to do good things in the world. “With the generous support of Amazon, we can continue our mission of providing the necessary programs to help our kids learn, grow and thrive.” Said Anne Brigis, CEO and President of the YMCA of Long Island.
