Give Your Child a Lifesaving Skill!
Thanks to funding provided through Governor Kathy Hochul's NY SWIMS Initiative and the New York State Department of Health, the YMCA of Long Island is offering FREE swim lessons to help more children develop life-saving water safety and swimming skills.
Why Swim Lessons Matter

- Reduce the risk of drowning through water safety education
Who Can Participate?
This initiative is designed to expand access to swim lessons for children who may otherwise face barriers to participation. Program availability and eligibility are determined locally based on community needs, available capacity, and grant guidelines.
