YMCA Family Services is a branch of the YMCA of Long Island and provides a comprehensive menu of treatment and prevention services that promote the emotional wellness of the individuals, families, and the community at-large. In all that we do, we meet everyone with dignity and respect, and guide every individual along that path to achieving balance and wellness in their lives.

As the social services and mental health arm of the YMCA of Long Island, YMCA Family Services delivers on this promise with comprehensive Prevention and Treatment Counseling Services that promote the emotional wellness of the individuals, families, and the community at-large. THE FACTS

• YMCA Family Services has been licensed by OASAS (office of alcohol and substance abuse services) the state government regulation since 1975. We have been given a Suffolk County Contract to provide the underserved and under insured residence since 1975. 
• We take most private insurances and All Managed Medicaid insurances.
• We have been providing Prevention services since 1975 and funded to do so free of service for the communities in Suffolk County.
• We have been in the local surrounding school districts consistently for over 25 years.
• We have a Suffolk County Youth Bureau contract to provide youth and their families counseling to help divert them from the court system and reduce risky behaviors.
• We have been providing Evidence Based Practices in both Prevention and Treatment Services for ten years.
• We provide services for both those using or abusing substances and those effected by loved ones that are using or abusing substances.
