The YMCA of Long Island honors and commemorates National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 to October 15 throughout the United States. This month, we recognize the contributions, cultures, history and presence of Hispanic Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. We celebrate the Hispanic, Latino, Latina, and Latinx members, staff, donors, partners, and volunteers that make up our special Y family.
At the Y, we believe our communities are stronger when everyone feels welcome and we work together for the common good. We continue to be inspired by the stories and energy that are shared about your heritage with our Ys across Long Island. Thank you for all you have done to shape our local communities and our country. Thank you for choosing the Y!
