Yay, the first week of camp is in the books! We had so much fun, and can't wait for the upcoming weeks! Our kiddie campers enjoyed some of their in-house specials and our pre-teen and teen campers enjoyed going on 3 trips during the week! More fun activities to come and more friendships to be made.
Patchogue Family YMCA Summer Day Camp
The first week of camp was an absolute blast! We kicked things off by diving into fun activities like playing Gaga, making new friends, and learning how to swim. With camp just beginning and the summer in full swing, there's so much more excitement to come! Our teens had an amazing time on their trips this week and they are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming adventures.

Great South Bay YMCA Summer Day Camp
Our Campers are jumping for joy that camp has begun. Our campers are excited to meet new friends, have some fun in-house specials, and pre-teen/teen trips. Camp activities are in full swing and our campers are having a blast! Our sports campers have been honing in on their soccer skills, perfecting their dribbling and scoring techniques. Swim lessons have also begun, and after swim testing, our campers had a great time getting acquainted with the pool through free swimming. Even STEM activities brought excitement to our campers. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!

Huntington YMCA Summer Day Camp
Sports Camp is now offsite and they have been doing some really exciting things! On our first day of camp, they played soccer. They have been working on their dribbling skills and how to make a goal.
They also had a trip to Dave and Busters with our preteens and teens. How cool is that! They played all different arcade games and won some great prizes.
We have a new addition to the campgrounds... Our ropes course! On this course, our campers get to practice their balance, and speed, and get to fly through the air like a superhero! That's a perfect thing for everyday heroes week.
Swim lessons have begun and after being swim tested on the first day of the swim, campers enjoyed becoming acclimated to the pool with some recreational swimming.
We lucked out on the rain this week, well at least during the camp day, but in Stem, we brought the rain. The activity the campers participated in was "making rain". The way to do this is with a cup of water, some shaving cream, and food coloring. Once you have a cup of water, you will place the shaving cream on top, and then put a few drops of food coloring on top of that. The food coloring with drop through and "rain" into the water. Wow!

YMCA East Hampton RECenter Summer Day Camp
The fun-filled activities continued throughout the week as our campers indulged in even more thrilling adventures. We had some spectacular face painting and let our imaginations run wild as we transformed into whimsical creatures and superheroes.
To beat the summer heat, we made a beeline for the refreshing pool. With the sun shining above, our campers loved splashing and playing games with contagious joy. The pool became a hub of laughter and excitement.
But the real magic happened when our campers put their construction skills to the test by building castles with our jumbo building blocks. Campers collaborated, sharing ideas and lending helping hands to create some elaborate and imaginative fortresses.
And let's not forget the game of four-square! Campers eagerly lined up, eagerly awaiting their turn to showcase their skills. Laughter and friendly competition filled the court as campers strategized, jumped, and dove to keep the ball in play. The game unites campers of all ages, fostering a sense of camaraderie and friendly rivalry.
The week was an absolute whirlwind of excitement, adventure, and unforgettable moments. As we eagerly look forward to the upcoming weeks, we can't wait to see what other magical moments await our campers on their summer journey.

YMCA At Glen Cove Summer Day Camp
Soccer, swimming, friends, arts and crafts, parachute fun, and so much more! Our campers have been having the time of their lives exploring a wide range of activities and creating unforgettable memories. Whether they're participating in a friendly game of soccer, perfecting their strokes in the pool, or unleashing their creativity through arts and crafts, our campers are fully engaged and loving every minute of it. Campers enjoyed parachute games, creating a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. The pre-teens and teen campers enjoyed trips this week to Morgan Park, New York Hall of Science and Country Fair. It was a busy week, but we are just getting started!
