As session 3 comes to a close, our campers are ending it with a bang! The excitement is in the air as they come together to celebrate Y Guy's birthday, a beloved member of our camp community. With his infectious energy and positive spirit, Y Guy truly makes the Y a fun place to be. In addition to the birthday festivities, our campers have been busy participating in the final activities for their Olympic games. From the colorful and exhilarating color run to creating beautiful arts and crafts, they have been showcasing their creativity and teamwork. Not to mention, they have been honing their swim skills, learning new techniques and gaining confidence in the water. And let's not forget about our pre-teens and teens, who had the opportunity to explore off-campus activities for some added fun and adventure. It's been a session filled with laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. Here's to a successful end to session 3 and looking forward to the adventures that await in the next session!
Great South Bay YMCA Summer Day Camp
Jump into the magic with our campers! Our kiddie camp had an in-house special magic show! PreTeens enjoyed their trips to Adventureland and East Islip Lanes. From spinning on the Frisbee, to creeping through the Haunted House and splashing through the Log Flume, the campers made great memories. Many campers got some impressive strikes and had a great time with their friends in their group. The food from the concession stand was also very yummy! Happy Crazy Sock Day! Look at all the crazy socks our campers are wearing today-- how silly are they! Luckily we got a few hours of fun in before the skies opened up.
Huntington YMCA Summer Day Camp
Rep Your Color' Day, and both campers and staff proudly showed off their team spirit. They enjoyed splashing in the pool, getting creative with arts and crafts, and playing basketball and soccer in the gym. Despite the rain, our campers and camp team brought their A-game to Sports Dress-Up Day! Everyone showcased their team spirit with pride! The rain couldn't dampen our Olympic enthusiasm as we celebrated the true spirit of the Color War Olympics!

YMCA at Glen Cove Summer Day Camp
Our campers learned what teams they will be on for Color Wars and at our opening ceremony Joe introduced our team co-captains. We also had our fun color run at the end of the day! We had a blast tie-dying our shirts and playing with water balloons in our morning color wars games. Our teens went on a trip to Rye Playland. Both teens and pre teens enjoyed trips to bowling lanes and Top Golf this week. Our Sports Camp groups also joined us for this trip. They had a blast playing all the different game modes. On site, we completed crafts, swam, played games, and had some friendly competitions of kickball and dodgeball for points towards color wars! Special thank you to all the campers who are rocking their team colors, they are contributing to their team spirit and points everyday! On-site, we had two in-house special events. Our campers also enjoyed Trivia Gameshow where our youth camp groups competed in physical and academic challenges.
Patchogue Family YMCA Summer Day Camp
Rockstar 101! Campers and counselors danced and sang their hearts out for the camp this week! Counselors battled in their worst fears to see who could win in Fear Factor! Congrats to our brother duo Liam and Owen for winning! Fun day at Bowlero! Though the rain may have dampened our day, our camp was brightened with all the colors as we participated in Day 1 of Color Wars! Once Upon a Farm came to visit! They brought baby goats, chickens, and bunnies! We were able to feed and hold the animals!
YMCA East Hampton RECenter Summer Day Camp
Slip and slide and bubble time. Face painting was a hit The kids enjoyed learning the history of the lighthouse as well the Beauty of the beach. Time to play some dodge ball. Came down to a tie. Such a great game. Playing Gaga, who will win. The kids also enjoyed the inflatables this week. Every year, our team brings a kayak into the pool to teach water safety! They stimulate the water to make waves and teach the swimmers how to react if their kayak tipped over.
