At our East Hampton Camp location, the campers had an action-packed week filled with exciting activities. They had a blast playing GAGA, a popular and fast-paced dodgeball-like game, where they tested their agility and reflexes. The competitive spirit was high as campers dodged, jumped, and strategized their way to victory.

To beat the summer heat, the campers also had a great time cooling off in the pool during free swim. They splashed and swam, enjoying the refreshing water and the opportunity to show off their swimming skills. Lifeguards were always present to ensure their safety and provide assistance if needed.

As the temperatures soared, we knew it was crucial to keep the campers hydrated. So, we made sure to provide them with plenty of water throughout the day. To make staying hydrated even more fun, we set up a water slide that brought endless laughter and excitement. Campers eagerly slid down and splashed into the pool, embracing the joy of summer.

In addition to all the physical activities, our Kiddie Campers had a special treat with a Yoga class. Led by a certified instructor, the little ones had the chance to relax and stretch their bodies. They learned various yoga poses and techniques, fostering mindfulness and body awareness at a young age. It was heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm and see them embrace the practice with smiles on their faces.

The energy and excitement at camp are soaring as Session 2 is in full swing! Our Pre-Teen and Teen Campers are having an absolute blast on their incredible trips, creating memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.

But the fun doesn't stop there! Our little ones in the kiddie camp are also having a marvelous time with their in-house specials and engaging arts and crafts projects, igniting their creativity and fostering new friendships.

This week, a major highlight for our campers was the exhilarating water slide we set up to keep them cool and refreshed in the summer heat. The laughter and pure excitement were contagious as they slid down and splashed into the pool, fully immersing themselves in the joy of summer. And that's not all - our campers also had the chance to enjoy GAGA, a thrilling and fast-paced dodgeball-like game that put their agility and reflexes to the test. Additionally, they were treated to a special visit from the Girl Scouts, adding even more excitement and learning to their camp experience.

Our campers also had the chance to go on our low ropes course and learn team building skills by cheering their fellow campers on and helping them to get across the wooden beams.

YMCA at Glen Cove Summer Day Camp

7-Jul-13-2023-07-03-07-1070-PM  8-2

The fun and excitement at the YMCA at Glen Cove Summer Day Camp continued to soar as the campers had an incredible week filled with thrilling adventures. One of the highlights was when our Teen and Pre-Teen Campers had the amazing opportunity to attend a New York Ducks game. The atmosphere was electric as they cheered on their favorite team and soaked in the excitement of the game. But the fun didn't stop there - the Pre-Teen Campers also had a blast at the arcade, where one lucky camper hit the jackpot on a game and won a "big" ticket spin. Congratulations to the lucky winner! The Teen and Pre-teen campers even went to Tiki Action Park and went Go-Karting. So much fun!

Our Kiddie Campers stayed back on site and had some fun with the slip-n-slide. Created little masterpieces at Arts and Crafts. They are even working on their literacy skills with reading and writing. No summer learning gap here!

Huntington YMCA Summer Day Camp

3-Jul-13-2023-07-03-06-8220-PM     4-Jul-13-2023-07-03-06-9923-PM

We have a fun-filled two weeks ahead and all the fun happened on days one and two! The Huntington Y will have a foam machine every day this week and our campers are scheduled through the week to enjoy it. It is so much fun as they enjoy all the bubbles and dance around.

It is travel-through time week and we journeyed to the past and hung out with our dinosaur friends. Many campers and counselors came in with Dinosaur paraphernalia on. We even had a T-Rex join us for arrival! Amazing!

In Stem this week, campers are making their own ice cream by combining vanilla, sugar, and milk. They then take that mixture in a bag and place it in a bag of ice and salt. Then they shake, shake, shake. And boom, ICE CREAM! It's a fun trick for them to do at home.

Our kiddie camps enjoyed the Kiddie Camp play yard and utilized their buddies, hula hoops, and toy houses. They used their imagination to play pretend and enjoy some outdoor time.

Look at the teamwork of the Raptors playing red light, and green light, and making their friends not get caught moving or they have to start all over.

The teens went to the Main Street Board Game Cafe today and enjoyed some quiet time playing some of their favorite games. Monopoly is a tricky one.

Great Southbay YMCA Summer Day Camp

9-2  10-1

At the Great Southbay YMCA Summer Day Camp, the fun and excitement are in full swing as the campers enjoy extra pool time and stay hydrated. With the temperatures rising, it's important to keep the campers cool, so the YMCA has provided them with plenty of opportunities to beat the heat. The kiddie campers had a blast playing soccer, showcasing their skills and teamwork.

Meanwhile, the older campers are making the most of their time with thrilling adventures and having a blast on them. Whether it's splashing in the pool or exploring new places, these campers are creating memories that will last a lifetime.

During Arts and Crafts time the campers are either drawing pictures, creating string and rainbow loom bracelets at making fun shapes with pearling beads.
