THE Y TRANSFORMED ME INTO AN ADVOCATE AND PHILANTHROPIST
I had a background in stand-up comedy, Public Relations, and making dessert! About 5 years ago, I decided to start making and selling fudge at local Farmers’ markets. I had a lot of fun interacting with people and selling my fudge. Then I got a great opportunity to go on Shark Tank – and opportunity to enjoy both fame and fortune. Once I sold my company, I realized that I needed to do something meaningful with my time and money. I wanted to give back to the community. I searched around for organizations to get involved in and landed on the YMCA. Right now, I’m working with the Leaders Club on the East End to inspire kids to be entrepreneurial and teach them leadership, confidence and ways to become their best selves.
