WEEK FIVE: July 25-July 29
Session 3 started this week and we are still making friends and memories and having fun. We still have some spots available for Session 4 at our Bay Shore, Glen Cove, Huntington and Patchoge camp locations. Do you have questions? Email us camp@ymcali.org.

HUNTINGTON YMCA SUMMER DAY CAMP
This week, Huntington YMCA campers enjoyed a STEAM project of mixing baking soda and white vinegar with a soap mixture! The reaction? It bubbles over like a volcano!
The kids also created catapults with SNAPPY XO Kits! They were given written instructions and have to follow them to build their catapults step by step. This week was also Super Hero Week, where everyone dressed up as their favorite super hero. We also enjoyed axe throwing play, inflatables and a special Imagination Station activity with comic strips.

GREAT SOUTH BAY YMCA SUMMER DAY CAMP
Our Great South Bay YMCA campers had Yankee/Met day where they were able to show-off their favorite New York baseball team! Our Pre-Teens and Teens enjoyed a trip to Country Fair where they enjoyed the bumper cars and other carnival rides.

PATCHOGUE FAMILY YMCA SUMMER DAY CAMP
Our Patchogue Family YMCA Pre-teens and Teens went to Monster Mini Golf! What a great trip! The campers had their choice of playing mini-golf or arcade games or both! We can't wait to go back.
Campers also enjoyed our Harry Potter theme day! Campers dressed up as their favorite Harry Potter character and picked their Hogwarts House from the sorting hat! Which one are you-Huffelpuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor?
Some of our campers had the opportunity to test their knowledge and played the Brain Challenge Hollyrock Game show against their fellow campers! They had so much fun answering the questions and cheering on their team!
The week ended with a Halloween Day Dance Off--photos and video to come!

YMCA EAST HAMPTON RECENTER SUMMER DAY CAMP
Our East Hampton Branch had a great week again this week! Kiddie Campers had a blast playing with the parachute and doing indoor challenges in the gym! Some of the fun challenges they participated in were: line races and a fun balloon challenge! Each team had to race to see how many balloons they could pop!
Campers also enjoyed Super Hero Day today and we will share those photos with you during the week.

YMCA AT GLEN COVE
It was the Olympics this week at the YMCA at Glen Cove. Each camp group created their group flag for a parade. The week opened with opening ceremony and through the week, camp groups competed at relays, races and activities. We love all the team names and camp spirit!
All camp groups signed our beautiful camp torch that Joe, our Camp Director posed with.
