General Information & Guidelines
The success of our swim meets and safety of our children depend on parent or guardian participation. The undersigned further agrees to:
Ensure the swimmer has their YMCA membership card and, for their safety, scans their card every day they attend practice.
For everyone's safety, do not park or wait in handicap-accessible parking or non-parking marked areas. Please use the bus loop to the side of the building to wait for your swimmer to help ease the flow of traffic around the parking lot.
Children under ten years of age must be walked into the YMCA by an adult 18 years of age or older. Children under ten may not be dropped off more than 15 minutes before the start of practice and must be picked up no more than 15 minutes after practice ends.
Please do NOT bring valuable items to practice. The YMCA is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
CELL PHONE AND CAMERA USE IS PROHIBITED IN LOCKER ROOMS. Failure to abide by this policy will lead to disciplinary action up to and including removal from the swim team and revocation of membership privileges.
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Bullying is counterproductive to team spirit and can be devastating to a victim. The Huntington YMCA Swim Team is committed to providing a safe, caring and friendly environment for all of our members. If bullying does occur, all athletes and parents should know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively. Anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to tell a coach, YMCA employee, or athlete/mentor.
For further information, please refer to the Swimmer's Guide.
Electronic Signature
