Financial Assistance

The Y is committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, income, background or race, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. To this end, the YMCA of Long Island provides financial assistance for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of programs and services. This is only possible thanks to the generous individuals who donate to our Annual Support Campaign.

Financial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis, and factors in total household income, number of dependents, and individual circumstances. Assistance is available all YMCA branch locations across Long Island. Funds can be used for membership and/or program fees, including after-school care, summer day camp, and programs for which additional fees apply, such as sports or aquatics. Please note, the need for financial assistance and rewards are reassessed on a regular basis.

Download a confidential application in English or Spanish. Please complete all the fields and supply the requested supporting documentation. You can bring your completed application to the branch you intend to use.

Please note: Policies and deadlines for Summer Day Camp Financial Assistance forms vary per location. Please call 855.2YMCALI to find out more information.
