Martone Children's Center
The YMCA at Glen Cove's Preschool at the Martone Children Center will give your child a place to learn and grow physically, mentally, academically and socially. We take pride in offering a well-rounded program to develop individuals with age appropriate hands-on activities. Our objective is to provide a safe place where children will be able to learn and improve language and social skills while developing a strong sense of self-esteem in a nurturing and loving environment.
The Martone Children's Center, in close proximity to the YMCA at Glen Cove, our Preschool is a state-of-the-art facility with the following:
- Six classrooms, each complete with two private bathrooms
- Excellent "student to teacher" ratio providing quality attention for each child
- Secure location ensuring safety
- Smart boards in both classrooms for learning and interacting with technology.

CURRENT EARLY CHILDHOOD/PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
Stay N Play
(2 Year separation class*) This is an exciting introduction to preschool. Each child's abilities are developed through fun and motivating crafts, stories, songs and movement activities.
*Children do not need to be potty trained.
3-Year Old Extended Day
A stimulating, learning atmosphere is created to provide days of discovery and accomplishments. As your child grows, so does the range of activities and experiences. Children participate in a vast, exciting curriculum, including: Music, Art, Computer, Pre-Reading Skills, Pre-Math/Science Readiness Skills, Fitness Activities, Swim Lessons, Field Trips and Special Events. Lunch must be provided by parent/guardian. Children must be potty trained. Ratio 1:7.
4-Year Old Extended Day
This program offers your child our Pre-K curriculum in a fun and stimulating environment while preparing them for Kindergarten. Children will participate in a vast Common Core standards curriculum. The program includes: Music, Art, Computer, Pre-Reading Skills, Pre-Math/Science Readiness Skills, Fitness Activities, Swim Lessons, Field Trips and Special Events. Lunch must be provided by parent/guardian. Children must be potty trained. Ration 1:7. Ratio 1:8.
3-Year Old Full Day Preschool
This program will prepare your child for a successful preschool program. The program includes: Music, Art, Computer, Pre-Reading Skills, Pre-Math/Science Readiness Skills, Fitness Activities, Swim Lessons, Field Trips and Special Events. Lunch must be provided by parent/guardian. Children must be potty trained. In the afternoon, children experience a well-planned extension of their morning curriculum. This program is designed to further develop the physical, mental and emotional growth of rich varied experiences while having fun! Lunch must be provided by parent/guardian. Children must be potty trained. Ratio 1:7.
4-Year Old Full Day Preschool
This program offers your child our Pre-K curriculum in a fun and stimulating environment while preparing them for Kindergarten. Children will participate in a vast Common Core standards curriculum. Preschool After Care Program
(Current 3-4 year full day students) We offer expanded hours to ease the minds of working parents. This program is staffed with the same qualified teachers and teacher assistants that work in our Preschool, and offers a nurturing, fun environment of play and art activities.
Summer Enrichment Program
(3 & 4 year full day students) A 5-week summer program incorporates educational weekly themes with ample opportunities for fun. It will offer your child a stimulating curriculum in areas such as pre-reading skills, pre-math and science readiness skills. Lunch and snack provided by parent/guardian. Children must be potty trained. Ratio 1:7.
