Y Boulton Center Act Out Theatre Program
The Y Act Out Theatre Program offers a wide array of performing arts disciplines including, dance, acting and musical theater. We provide our students quality arts instruction including theater, dance, voice and tech instruction in a nurturing and inspiring environment. Whether your child is just starting out or is an experienced performer, we help your child discover and express themselves creatively.
WINTER PROGRAMS
Act Out Disney The Aristocats Kids
For children ages 5-10. Production with Instruction of the Disney classic. All students will be cast in this wonderful beloved show!
Act Out The Addams Family Young@Part
For children ages 7-11. This is a one-hour version of the Broadway hit. It is perfect for children ages 7-11. All students will be cast in this show!
Act Out The Addams Family
Teens 12+. This production for Teens is both challenging and fun as they perform a full production of this Broadway hit show!
Act Out Advanced Acting Technique Workshop
For ages 10+. Designed for the more serious-minded student actor/singer this class will focus on monologue /song work and performance technique and will culminate in a small showcase for friends and family at session’s end. Class begins February 29th. Performance held on May 15th.

Students work with professional directors, choreographers and artists to create a live Broadway-style show during the summer. Local trips are included for the younger students and a NYC-Broadway Show trip for older students. The program is held at Bay Shore Middle School (Sessions 1 & 2) and YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts (Session 3 only).

AIT (ARTIST-IN-TRAINING) PROGRAM (Entering Grades 11-12) | The Artist-in-Training program allows campers to develop the important artistic skills. AIT's can perform in productions with their age group as well as assist on all aspects of the show. They work in a leadership capacity along with the counselors, assisting campers and training to be a counselor. AIT's can select from any 3-week session to oversee ACT OUT KIDS or JUNIORS. AIT''s interested in auditioning for the the ACT OUT TEENS Production must commit to the 6-week session. |
